Discipline

As per the Health Professions Act and CCOA Bylaw 8.1, the College of Chiropractors of Alberta (CCOA) publishes records of all decisions made as outcomes of complaints as of April 1, 2019. Any decisions made prior to this date can be obtained by contacting the Complaints Director. 

Decisions made regarding complaints of sexual misconduct or sexual abuse will remain online indefinitely. All other decisions will remain online for a period of 10 years.

Update re: Dr. Curtis Wall v. CCOA

The College of Chiropractors of Alberta and Dr. Curtis Wall have reached an agreement that settles all aspects of the unprofessional conduct matters involving Dr. Wall. Dr. Wall is no longer challenging the findings of unprofessional conduct.

RE: PAUL MCCONNELL, also known as PAUL WALLACE

The CCOA would like the public to be aware of Paul McConnell, also known as Paul Wallace and known to be residing in Calgary, Alberta. The CCOA has reasonable grounds to believe that Paul McConnell, aka Paul Wallace, may be performing restricted health activities on the public without legal authorization.

The public should be aware that:

  1. Paul McConnell, aka Paul Wallace, does not have a permit to practice chiropractic in Alberta.

  1. Paul McConnell’s, aka Paul Wallace, permit to practice chiropractic was cancelled in 2020 due to multiple findings of unprofessional conduct, including engaging in sexual relationships and actions of a sexual nature with current and/or past patients. The Tribunal decision is listed below under 2020.
